My name is Joel Burns and I'm glad you've found your way to my blog.

I'm not a pastor, theologian, or professional Christian of any kind. I do not have a degree, I am not ordained, and I have never been to any Bible college or seminary.

I'm just a musician living in Nashville looking to talk straight with other Christian men about life within a society, churches, and a wider world that all seem increasingly hostile towards them.

Here you can find a sort of mission statement for this blog - why it exists and what it's all about. And while all are welcome to read, share, and interact with what I write here, it is my hope that, most specifically, the men out there will find regular encouragement, inspiration, challenge, and conviction from what is posted.
